Eco Friendly Printers

Global brands and packaging supply chains are accelerating ESG and Net Zero initiatives. Customers in Europe, the U.S., and international markets are increasingly requiring printing materials that comply with low-carbon, low-pollution, and traceable environmental standards.

Since 2002, Tung Ming Printing Ink has been committed to the development of eco-friendly ink technologies. We became Taiwan’s first certified Soy Ink manufacturer and have continuously promoted environmentally responsible formulations with low VOC, low mineral oil (MOF), and low MOAH/MOSH characteristics. In 2026, our MG-2 VF Vegetable-Based Process Ink Series further achieved ISO 14067:2018 Product Carbon Footprint verification, completing a full carbon footprint assessment and international verification covering raw materials, manufacturing, and factory operations.

By adopting Tung Ming VF Vegetable-Based Process Inks, printing and packaging companies can:

• Enhance ESG and green supply chain competitiveness
• Meet environmental requirements from international brands and export markets
• Reduce risks related to mineral oils and aromatic hydrocarbons
• Strengthen the image of food packaging and premium brand applications
• Prepare for future carbon management, carbon disclosure, and sustainable procurement trends

The following partners are printing companies that have successfully implemented vegetable-based process inks and are working together with us to promote a greener and more sustainable printing supply chain:-

VF Vegetable Based Oil Series

Inspired by nature, the Vegetable Based Oil Series (VF) philosophy views everything as nutrients that can safely return to the environment. From the very start of product design, materials are planned with their end-of-life in mind, ensuring they remain in continuous circulation.

VF defines two cycles:

  • Biological Cycle – Products made from biodegradable materials that return nutrients back to nature.

  • Technical Cycle – Products made from recyclable materials that are recovered, reused, or even upcycled into new products.

VF assessments replace toxic materials and energy-intensive processes with safe ingredients, clean energy, and water-efficient practices, while also ensuring effective recycling pathways. This approach creates an environmentally friendly supply chain, sustainable products, and circular recovery systems.

Three Core Principles of VF Design

  1. Materials as Nutrients
All materials are considered nutrients—there is no concept of waste. Through VF design, materials and products benefit human health and the environment during production, use, and recycling, ultimately re-entering the biological or technical cycle as high-quality resources.

  2. Use of Renewable Energy & Carbon Management
Renewable energy—such as solar, wind, hydro, tidal, and biomass—is limitless. Instead of focusing only on reducing traditional energy use, VF promotes the proactive adoption and expansion of renewable energy sources to minimise carbon impact.

  3. Celebrating Diversity
VF values ecological, cultural, and solution diversity. True problem-solving does not come from simply reducing harm, but from maximising eco-effectiveness—amplifying the positive impacts of human activity on the environment, society, and economy.
